Texas Society of Medical Assistants

Hello and welcome!

My name is Melissa Saucedo and I am the Student Ambassador  for the Texas Society of Medical Assistants. In the summer of 2016 I graduated from McLennan Community College in Waco, TX as a Certified Medical Assistant. During that time, I had the opportunity to form a relationship with the AAMA and became a member in 2015. Since then I have attended conferences and gained valuable experience that helped me secure an amazing job that I am proud of.

Students are the future medical assistants that will soon be turning today’s ideas into tomorrow’s reality of better healthcare. Networking, job opportunities and staying up to date with the latest of what’s going on in the medical assistant field are just a few of the benefits of becoming a member of the AAMA.

Achieving CMA (AAMA) certification helps you stand out from the crowd of other job applicants. Every day the AAMA responds to more than 100 employer requests for CMA (AAMA) certification verification—for both current and potential employees.

We look forward to meeting you and getting the opportunity to help encourage and inspire you though this journey!
